Terms and Conditions
- I will ensure that I carry my learners permit with me on every lesson.
- I will obey all traffic regulations and laws of the state whilst participating in training
- I agree to pay for each lesson when I attend unless otherwise arranged with my instructor
- I understand that under privacy legislation my instructor is not able to offer information about my lessons to another person unless agreed by myself
- I will ensure that I am prompt to arrive or be picked up for my lessons; if I am late, the lesson starts late it will finish at the allotted time and I will be charged the full lesson fee.
- I understand that if I am unable to attend a pre-booked lesson that I am required to give 24 hours notice, otherwise a 50 % cancellation fee will apply
- I agree to pay for the excess on Virk Driving School’s insurance if I am at fault in causing an accident
- I will attend all lessons without being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, I understand that under such circumstances my lesson may be terminated by my instructor and a full lesson fee will be charged.
- I give Virk Driving School permission to use photography/video of me passing my test for marketing purposes only on the company website, Instagram or Facebook.
Cancellation Policy
When you book your appointment, you are holding a space on our calendar that is no longer available to our other patients. In order to be respectful of your fellow patients, please call 0401776674 as soon as you know you will not be able to make your appointment. We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. For example, if your appointment is at 4:00pm on Wednesday you must cancel before 4:00pm on Tuesday.
There are fees associated with missed or cancelled appointments and these fees are listed below:
Missed appointment fee: A fee totaling 50% of the cost of service will be levied for missed appointments without cancellation notice 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment.
Pre-paid Packages
Standard packages – expire within 8 weeks
3 lesson packages – expire within 12 weeks
5 lesson packages – expire within 24 weeks
10 lesson packages – expire within 52 weeks
Crash Responsibilities
By law, all traffic offence and fines apply to the person behind the wheel. That means, learner driver is responsible to pay any fines. In case of a collision, learner driver require to pay any excess amount as required determined by the insurance provider. We have to mention these matters by law.
The rules regarding crash responsibilities are in the Road Safety Act 1986.
The key rules and section numbers are:
- 61 – Duty of driver etc. of motor vehicle if accident occurs
- 61A – Duty of driver etc. of vehicle that is not a motor vehicle if accident occurs
